Focus and sharpness: Images must be in focus with appropriate clarity. Double exposure welcome, creative out of shot focus welcome.
Composition: Thoughtful framing, including the rule of thirds, balance, and subject placement.
Clarity of subject: Avoid overly busy or cluttered shots; details should enhance the image.
Creativity: Shots that are purposely out of focus or off alignment accepted, and double exposure accepted.
Visual Interest and Uniqueness. Photos should stand out visually and feel distinctive.

Couples and vendor teams based in Idaho are prioritized.
Specifically looking for submissions highlighting regions not consistently featured (Currently looking for North Idaho, Central Idaho, and Eastern Idaho).
Cover Feature Potential. Images for covers should include negative space at the top for the magazine title.
(Because I know submissions come from more than just photographers, if you need an example of “negative space” just ask.)
Photos that feature Idaho landscapes or convey an aspirational editorial look are preferred.
Corresponding bouquet shots suitable for the back cover are preferred.
Submissions should allow for editorial storytelling, ideally focusing on the couple or bride cleanly.

02. Can submissions be non-traditional?

Absolutely. All types of celebrations are welcome. Submissions are reviewed to inspire couples and show what is possible.

03. How often are submissions reviewed

Submissions are reviewed twice a year ahead of each print issue. Projects submitted outside of that window will be considered during the next review period. Selected submissions are notified shortly after each biannual review period. Submissions not selected may not receive individual notifications but remain in consideration for future issues. Even if you aren't selected this time know we still love seeing your work.
04. Why was my submission not selected?
Many amazing submissions are received, and while every project is appreciated, space in each print issue is limited. Selection is based on the overall story, style, timing, and fit with the issue’s theme. Not being selected does not reflect the quality of the work. Exceptional submissions may still be featured online or in future issues.
05. Who can submit?

Anyone involved in the wedding day. Including the couple and all vendors involved. Please just confirm written permission with the photographer.
06. Can I submit multiple times?
Yes. Multiple projects can be submitted, and each is considered individually.
07. Can submissions be guaranteed?
Features are chosen based on alignment with the magazine’s aesthetic and content strategy, not payment. Sponsorship opportunities provide additional visibility in print and online but do not guarantee editorial selection.
