When I was planning my wedding, I felt the weight of the "Facebook group frenzy" - the endless scrolling, the hundreds of notifications, and the total lack of a clear, local roadmap. I felt so overwhelmed that I surrendered to the "trendy" elopement route pushed on social media. It seemed like the easy answer at the time, but looking back, I realize I missed out on one of life’s rarest gifts: having every person I love in the same room at the same time. I didn’t choose an elopement because it was my dream; I chose it because I was exhausted.
